Adding a stay over in Atlanta with my good friend, Tawna

“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” Mary Ritter Beard. (n.d.). http://www.brainyquote.co/quotes/quotes/m/maryritter135170.html

The Jewelies Game Journey is both planned and unplanned. The plan is to map a route leading to places I want to see and experience, and the unplanned is to take serendipitous detours leading to places I have friends and family to visit and experience. Having a “game plan” that is both purposeful and flexible allows me to switch the plan and unplanned as such: The new plan is to map a route leading to places I have friends and family to see and learn from their life experience, and the new unplanned is to take detours leading to places I want to see and experience. The question is: what comes first? The plan? Or the unplanned? The security? Or the risk? The expected? Or the unexpected? The known? Or the unknown?

    The Plan …..
So far, I have followed a planned visit with a purpose. I have travelled as far as Knoxville for the first leg of my journey. I have had a great experience with my friend, Lori. I stayed with her at her apartment as she bought a new home in beautiful Rocky Top, Tennessee. It felt so good to help her move and share in her happiness as she starts her own adventure as a new homeowner. Did I mention it’s newly constructed, situated on 2 awesome wooded acres leading down to the Clinch River? Lori is a believer and she loves Christmas for all the right reasons and it was great fun to see her set up and decorate for the Holidays.

    The Unplanned …..
While here, I was fortunate to get together with another friend, Michele, and have lunch with her at UT Ag Campus where she is an IT expert! She is super smart and manages some pretty impressive websites and digital dynamics. She is going to play Jewelies Game with her grandson, a third grader at Jefferson County Schools.

    The Plan ….
Next stop, Katie’s place, Savannah, GA. I cannot wait to see my twin granddaughters, Scarlett and Savannah. (Yes, Katie is a fan of Gone with the Wind) From there, we will be traveling to Palm Bay, FL. I am blessed to be spending Christmas with the girls, Katie, and her family. I wish all of my children could be together with us. I miss you, Cody. I miss you Lindsey and Josh! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas – especially your first as husband and wife!

    The Unplanned …
I am excited to add a stay over with my friend, Tawna, in John’s Creek, GA, near Atlanta. This all came together just yesterday as I was doing my 10 Minute Solution: Hip Hop Dance Mix workout. http://www.anchorbayentertainment.com/Detail.aspx?projectID=3583cee0-4b17-4c74-b635-9c0800e596f5 I realized that my work here was finished and I was free to move on. I had planned to stay until Saturday but did not have any commitments, so I gave Tawna a call and she said, “Come on down!” I am leaving today and will be on my way to see Tawna and her daughter, Katie.
